AI-Augmented Software Engineering

My Studies
Im Studium lernen Sie nutzerzentrierte Anwendungen zu entwickeln und KI-gestützte Funktionen effektiv zu integrieren.

Key subject areas

Software architecture. Application development.

You will learn to design, implement and further develop complex and scalable software systems. In doing so, you will engage with cross-platform software development, modern front-end, back-end and API technologies, microservices and cloud-native applications. You will acquire the expertise to design future-proof software solutions for a variety of platforms and areas of application.

AI-powered software systems.

Artificial intelligence is becoming a central component of modern software development. You will learn to integrate AI components and machine learning models effectively into applications and to develop data-intensive, intelligent software systems. Parallel and concurrent systems, data flows, workflow management and AI-powered software systems form important foundations for implementing complex applications efficiently and reliably.

Software Quality. DevOps. Automation.

Professional software development involves far more than just programming. You will engage with automated software testing, quality assurance, DevOps practices, CI/CD approaches, system monitoring and the automation of development and deployment processes. This will enable you not only to develop software, but also to deliver it reliably, efficiently and to a high standard.

Study mode, self-study and attendance

Study mode

This work-friendly programme offers part-time workers an alternative to part-time study whilst working. You can expect a maximum of 45 days of on-campus attendance in both the first and second semesters, on three fixed days per week; a maximum of 40 days of on-campus attendance in the third semester, on two to three fixed days per week; and a maximum of 15 days of on-campus attendance in the fourth semester, which is organised in a block format. This means the programme can be easily combined with relevant part-time employment of up to two days or 16 hours per week. You can achieve further synergies between your studies and your career through the topic of your Master’s thesis.

Self-study

Self-directed learning always depends on our students’ commitment and ambitions.

Attendance

Attendance is compulsory during both face-to-face and online sessions. In the event of illness, students will be excused upon presentation of a doctor’s certificate. As a last resort, the department management will decide on the consequences of absences and on exemptions from the compulsory attendance requirement.
