The Institute of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence offers modern, spacious and well-equipped laboratories and seminar facilities. The wide range of professional software and hardware available to students provides the ideal basis for their practical training.

The following computer labs are available to our students in Graz:

TouchIT Lab:
The TouchIT Lab brings interactive media to life.
NEST Graz – Network & Security Technology Lab:
Network laboratory for security, the Cisco Academy and practical IT infrastructure.

CODE – Cyber-physical Objects Development Environment:
The CODE Lab is the place for innovative, interactive technologies.

In addition, the institute has three research centres: the Josef Ressel Centre conducts research into data-driven models for predicting and preventing technical failures; Green KAIT supports sustainable and digital start-ups; and RADIUS strengthens AI research in the fields of systems, software engineering and IT security.

Almost all the facilities for the Applied Computer Science degree programme, study track AI-Augmented Software Engineering, can be accessed by students, even out of hours, using the electronic student card.
