The subject matter of building regulations and technical guidelines for structural fire protection as well as relevant standards and laws are imparted. Energy requirements for the construction and use of buildings, comfort and user satisfaction. Planning principles for building shell and building technology. Calculation methods for energy efficiency. Energy efficient heat production, development of highly energy-efficient buildings (new construction) in shape and structure. Improving energy efficiency in existing buildings (building renovation).

Cost-planning of the entire life cycle, structure and components of the life cycle costs (construction and follow-up costs including operation costs, maintenance costs and repair costs). Determination of the life cycle and service life. Norms, computational models, prognosis scenarios, practical implementation of life cyle costs calculation. Significance and comparison of results of life cycle cost calculations.

Providing the necessary physical principles to detailed calculation methods in physics. Simulation as a planning tool for integrated planning.
