Contact

What I do:

  • Supporting customers in Vienna and Lower Austria
  • Coordinating marketing measures
  • Sales management

Why I love my job:

  • Flexibility
  • Daily challenges
  • Opportunity for personal development

Important skills in my job:

  • Communication skills
  • Ambition
  • Independent working style

My biggest accomplishment so far:

My successes include regularly achieving or even exceeding my sales goals. I am also proud to have been promoted within my first 15 months on the job.

How I found my current job:

I obtained my job by applying to an advertisement for a post.

What I learned for this job during my studies:

Since I work in the diabetes area of the pharma sector, coverage of diabetology during my studies certainly did not hurt.

Job prospects in my field:

Essentially it would be possible to find a similar job to mine since pharmaceutical companies are always on the lookout for qualified staff. In general however, I would rate the opportunities as moderate because business skills are a focal point and this is an area in which many graduates of health studies are somewhat lacking.

I am…

  • ambitious
  • goal-oriented
  • a team player

About my job:

My profession is very diverse and varied thanks to the customer contact but you should also enjoy driving. The role of Sales & Marketing Coordinator is also very multi-faceted, but was not part of my original field of responsibilities. Since it is very important to me to be able to progress on a professional level and keep climbing the career ladder, I feel very much at home in the pharmaceuticals sector. If possible, I would like to keep working in this field for a long time to come and later take on responsibility for staff or even run a company.

I value my job very highly because it presents me with new challenges every day and offers lots of opportunities:

  • No two sales discussions are the same – each is a new challenge.
  • I come into contact with new people every day.
  • I can develop on both a personal and professional level.

It is easy to explain why I work in Vienna. I was born and raised in Vienna. Vienna also has a wide range of cultural and leisure offers and a vast range of career opportunities.

I would like to tell interested students that Dietetics and Nutrition is a very fascinating course and I can absolutely recommend it. Unfortunately job offers for dieticians are often part-time. That does not have to be a disadvantage but if you are seeking a full-time post, this can become rather tedious.
