Martin Grabner founded Skytec Aerospace GmbH after completing his Master’s degree in Air Traffic Management. Today, together with his co-founder Manfred Leser and their team, he makes his clients’ wishes a reality and contributes to the future of aviation.

About my job
I am the Managing Director of Skytec Aerospace GmbH – a company I founded together with my business partner 😊. In my role, I am responsible for development, production and sales. My job is incredibly varied: I move between the development office, the production hall and client meetings – and it is precisely this variety that I love. I’m particularly excited by the freedom to turn my own ideas into market-ready products and to make a real contribution to the future of aviation through our projects.
My degree gave me the tools I needed for this: strategic thinking within the aviation industry, in-depth knowledge of business administration and aviation management, the ability to navigate regulatory requirements with confidence, and the capacity to make clear decisions even under pressure.
Of course, there are challenging aspects too – lengthy decision-making processes or bureaucratic hurdles can sometimes be a real test of patience. But the sense of achievement is all the greater when perseverance pays off. For me, the founding of Skytec Aerospace is, time and again, the best proof that vision, determination and team spirit really do make anything possible.
I have a clear goal for the future: to continue developing our company, secure financial independence and create a corporate culture in which everyone can grow – both personally and professionally.
I managed to strike a balance between work and my studies thanks to the fantastic support of my family, especially my wife. Her support gave me the personal space I needed, whilst professionally I learnt to set clear priorities and make efficient use of every minute. This experience has had a decisive influence on my discipline and perseverance.
