The “Bicycle in a Box” is a cargo bike that is not purchased as a whole from a dealer, but is delivered in individual parts directly from the manufacturer. After delivery, the bicycle must be assembled by the customer, which creates a bond with the product. This leads to a greater appreciation of the cargo bike. The expertise gained during assembly also makes it easy to repair and maintain the bicycle yourself. D2C (direct-to-consumer) distribution also shortens the supply chain and makes it easier to return defective parts to the manufacturer.
