Cargo Bike / Lightweight Cargo Bike

The aim of this master's thesis was to develop a cargo bike that saves a lot of space compared to conventional models and is thus more suitable for urban areas. This should encourage more car drivers to switch to an environmentally friendly cargo bike. When testing different cargo bikes and conducting the online survey, it turned out that a Long John cargo bike that can be folded in length seems particularly suitable. The survey also showed that many participants would like a cargo bike that saves space when parked. Under these conditions, a comfortable, lightweight and easy-to-use cargo bike was finally developed that does not exceed the dimensions of a conventional bicycle when folded.
