Profile

Anastasia (Natasa) Sfiri works at the intersection of psychology, interaction design, and pedagogies for higher education. Since 2003, she has been developing pedagogical approaches to online teaching and learning and conducting research in this field. Insights from the psychology of learning and the cognitive neurosciences feed directly into the design of online learning environments as well as into the development of teaching and learning strategies with new technologies.

Learning in groups and networks is a core focus of her work. As a trained e-moderator, she supports educators in online workshops and professional development programmes in designing and integrating learning scenarios that foster open, social learning as well as communication and collaboration in communities of practice. She also supports students in developing competencies for self-regulated learning.

Following many years of teaching in master's programmes and the university preparation course at FH JOANNEUM, she now works in the professional development of educators. Her work draws on extensive experience at the intersection of research and teaching practice.
