Student projects

Our degree programme is characterised by ongoing practical projects, typically in the fields of logistics, process and quality management, production management, procurement, sales and controlling. The projects adopt the model of elite American university MIT: real-world business problems, real business assignments, real contracts with students who work on the project in teams to come up with solutions under the supervision of specialists from the Institute. Over 300 such projects have been undertaken to date, for businesses ranging from A for Andritz, to V for voestalpine.

Industrial Research Project

In the Industrial Research Project our students work together with their colleagues from the Bachelor’s degree programme in Industrial Management and can gain first-hand experience in project and personnel management. These projects are closely related to research and teaching, giving project members the opportunity to solve current problems and/or research questions in areas such as logistics, procurement, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial controlling.
