Do I meet the admission requirements?
If you want to apply for this Master’s degree programme you need to have
- a relevant Bachelor’s degree or
- equivalent qualification.

The following degrees from Austrian or foreign universities or universities of applied sciences will be recognised:
- Journalism and Public Relations (PR) (FH JOANNEUM)
- Information Design (FH JOANNEUM)
- Information Management (FH JOANNEUM)
- Internet Technology (FH JOANNEUM)
- Journalism/Communication Studies
- Journalism/Online Journalism
- Public Relations (PR)/Online PR
- Marketing
- Internet Technology
- Intercultural Studies/Linguistics
- Information Design/Communication Design
- Information Management
- Informatics/Software Development
- Media Management
- Multimedia Art
- New Media/Social Media
If the degree is basically equivalent but lacks specific qualifications, admission will be made conditional on the passing of relevant exams during the course of the Master’s programme. These exams must generally be taken and passed by 15 April of the first year of study.
In ambiguous cases, the head of degree programme will decide whether the candidate meets the admission requirements. You will be notified of the decision once we have received your full set of application documents.
