Case Studies on Digital Transformation in Healthcare

5.00

ECTS

0.50

SWS

Course in the field of study: “Digital Transformation in Health Care”. Theoretical foundations of digital transformation and differentiation from digitization. In project groups, the analog documentation or care processes selected in advance with stakeholders in the healthcare sector are analyzed and at least conceptually converted into digital processes. The focus is on process management with a focus on the possibilities of disruptive change through new technologies and consistent compliance with medical standards such as FHIR, HL7, IHE, etc. A concrete technical implementation is not sought, but rather a prototype concept that can serve as the basis for a technical implementation. Students can apply their previously acquired knowledge of digital transformation in healthcare to a specific eHealth issue and implement this knowledge in a concrete project. They can independently acquire new knowledge and skills as required by the project and apply them effectively.
