M-KIS
Meierhofer AG has been a prominent solutions provider for digital patient care in the German-speaking market for over 35 years. As a part of a previously completed bachelor project (M-KISSING) , M-KIS has already been implemented in the Smart Care Laboratory at FH JOANNEUM. On this basis, additional features and modules are planned to be integrated into the existing M-KIS system at the Smart Care Laboratory at FH JOANNEUM.
Objectives
- Update M-KIS to the latest hotfix version
- Implement LDAP user import and role assignment functionality
- Install the Mirth Connect interface server and configure an HL7 ORM interface for requests from M-KIS, along with an HL7 ORU interface for transmitting findings back to M-KIS
- Integrate the M-Medication module and the Austria Codex
- Develop and expand the M-KIS worksheet for educational purposes
- Establish a backup concept
- Expand the client environment to include all IT rooms at the eHealth Institute
- Enhance the system's performance
Results
In the course of the Master's project, the tasks set were worked on comprehensively and completed successfully. The M-KIS worksheet created will be incorporated into lectures at the eHealth Institute.
