Werner Hauser

Mag. Dr. Werner Hauser is a professor of public and private commercial law and department coordinator for law at FH JOANNEUM GmbH in Graz; since the summer semester of 2015, he has been an honorary professor at the Alpen-Adria University of Klagenfurt. Previous positions include assistant at the Graz Institute for Commercial and Securities Law, legal intern at the Graz Higher Regional Court, head of the legal department at JOANNEUM RESEARCH Gesellschaft mbH, in the legal administrative service at the Office of the Styrian State Government, managing director of the Styrian Science, Environmental and Cultural Project Management GmbH, and head of the Ludwig Boltzmann Research Center for Education and Science Law. He has published numerous publications on corporate law, higher education and education law, and taught extensively (at universities of applied sciences, universities, and teacher training colleges).

Recipient of the "Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art" (2015).

On November 8, 2017, Werner Hauser was awarded the Festschrift "On the Importance of Academic Teaching at Universities."

He has served on expert teams, supervisory boards, advisory boards, etc.

As of December 1, 2020, Werner Hauser has published more than 540 specialist contributions (articles, book reviews, and decision-making papers); he has authored or co-authored more than 190 specialist books to date.
