Health Management and Public Health

If you want to apply for this Master’s degree programme you need to have

• a relevant Bachelor’s degree or
• an equivalent qualification

The programme is taught in German, so proficiency in German is required.

Details on the admission requirements

The Master’s degree programme is open to holders of

• a Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in tourism, leisure, health sciences, sport, exercise, events or training
• a relevant degree in economic, health or social sciences

Relevant Bachelor’s degrees currently include

• Health Management in Tourism from FH JOANNEUM and

• Bachelor’s degrees from other universities and universities of applied sciences in the fields of tourism, health, leisure, sport, exercise, events, economic and social sciences.
  These include, for example

• nursing science

• tourism management
• nutritional education
• physiotherapy
• occupational therapy
• dietetics and nutrition
• marketing
• business management
• sport science

The degree must be from a recognised institution of post-secondary education in Austria or abroad.

If the admission requirements are not fully met the necessary examinations from the Health Management in Tourism Bachelor‘s programme can be taken during the Master‘s programme.

In ambiguous cases, the head of degree programme will decide whether the candidate meets the admission requirements. You will be notified of the decision once we have received your full set of application documents.
