Modern ICT systems significantly influence operational conditions for enterprises. The content of the lecture is derived from real life scenarios and should give the students the opportunity to see what it is like to "properly" manage the production factor of ICT in a company.
Introduction to Applied ICT
• Understand the position of applied IT and the job profile of a "Solution Provider"
• Understand the meaning of digital transformation and recognize the resulting need to take action.
Special Challenge: IT security
• Knowledge of all relevant areas of IT security

• Data migration: data migration (material master data from MS Excel to SAP) is to be exported in an exemplary manner in SAP ERP and can be resolved and conducted by means of LSMW.
• ERP Reporting: various different types of reporting can be differentiated concerning their depth of integration and data volume. ERP reporting and data warehousing are to be differentiated both in terms of content and technology.
