Semester abroad
Because of the international nature of this sector, having spent a semester abroad is particularly advantageous for our students in their later professional lives. The IT world primarily communicates in English, and for this reason a high degree of language fluency is advantageous. Furthermore, the experience of living abroad is an important factor in personal development. Future employers place great value on a comprehensive education, rounded off by a semester spent abroad.
How does it work?
Our students have the opportunity to spend their fifth or sixth semester abroad in coordination with the training company.
If there are more applicants than places available, our International Coordinator will organise a selection procedure: selection is decided on the basis of grade point averages.
Where possible, the required ECTS are obtained while studying abroad. If the partner institution does not offer a comparable course students must take the relevant exam on their return to Graz.
