Co-op programme
Study mode
Under this programme structure, you will study full-time during your first year and switch to the co-op study programme from the third semester onwards.
The first two semesters take place in blocks from Monday to Thursday at FH JOANNEUM Graz. From the second year onwards, theory and practice alternate: on Mondays and Tuesdays, you attend modules at FH JOANNEUM Kapfenberg, around 40 per cent of which take place online.
For the remainder of the time, you are employed part-time at a specialist partner company. This enables you to apply the knowledge gained during your studies directly in a practical setting, gain professional experience at an early stage and forge valuable contacts with companies.
Self-study
The amount of self-study always depends on the student’s own level of commitment and ambition.
Attendance
Attendance is compulsory during the specified attendance times. Students are excused in cases of illness after producing a medical certificate from a doctor. Final judgement on the implications of absence and on exceptions to the attendance requirement will be made by the head of institute.
