Industrial Design

The internship is a compulsory element of the Master’s degree programme and is undertaken in the third semester. It covers a period of at least 15 weeks and is usually done in a design studio or the design department of a company in Austria or abroad. Students are required to write a report on their internship and present it in class.

Companies in which our students have completed internships in the past include IDEO and Fuseproject in San Francisco, VanBerlo in Eindhoven, Alfredo Häberli in Zurich, Form Us With Love in Stockholm, Layer in London, Kiska and Eoos in Austria, as well as automotive manufacturers BMW, Audi, Porsche, MAN and Volkswagen in Germany.

Duration: at least 15 weeks in the 3rd semester
Workload: at least 30 hours a week
