Semester abroad

Because of the international nature of this sector, having spent a semester abroad is particularly advantageous for our students in their later professional lives. The IT world communicates primarily in English, and for this reason a high degree of language fluency is an advantage for our students. Furthermore, the experience of living abroad is important to personal development. Future employers place great value on a comprehensive education, rounded off by a semester spent abroad.

How does it work?

Our students have the opportunity to spend their fifth semester abroad. If there are more applicants than places available, our International Coordinator will organise a selection procedure: selection is decided on the basis of grade point averages.

Where possible, the required ECTS are obtained whilst studying abroad. If the partner institution does not offer a comparable course students must take the relevant exam on their return to Graz.

Partner universities

The courses run by partner universities of the Internet Technology degree programme are similar in content to our own. The Institute of Internet Technologies & Applications enjoys close relations with a wide range of partner universities.
