The course will prepare you to handle various examination and treatment procedures.
Practical internships and dealing with patients will enable you to enhance your social skills.
Optimise your spatial perception with the aid of software, apps and 3D models and through the acquisition of practical experience.
You will learn to use various medical and radiological equipment.
You’ll have a chance to raise and investigate questions related to the profession.
You’ll investigate the quality assurance of imaging systems and examination procedures.
The course provides the fundamental terms and applications of radiation protection to enable you to take on key roles in the field of radiation and civil protection, e.g. as a Radiation Protection Officer.

Following a preparatory week at FH JOANNEUM, students complete a 4-week professional internship in diagnostic radiography.

Dr. Ivo Rakovac, for example, works for the WHO in Copenhagen and teaches ‘Medical Informatics and Documentation’ at our Institute.

Career-specific classes are held in small groups of max. 7 students to provide students with the optimum preparation for their work placement.

Martina Maierhofer, BSc, took part in the MedEyeTrac clinical study in 2014 in cooperation with the University Hospital Graz and Graz University of Technology.
… that our professional internships are supported by supervision?
After each work placement, students develop their social skills further by jointly reflecting on their personal experiences gained from the internship.
