What I do:
  • Smaller architecture projects
  • All kinds of interior design projects
  • Furniture design
  • Product design
Why I love my job:

I can work in an independent and creative manner and help make people happy with my projects. Architecture, interior design and furniture design, paired with carpentry and joinery, is something very special: I can get involved from the design to the finished product and monitor all phases of the production process.

Important skills in my job:
  • Creativity
  • Technical understanding
  • Presenting & motivating
My biggest accomplishment so far:

I was very pleased to win first place in the competition to design the new trophy for the Formula 1 race at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

How I found my current job:

I have been linked with the family business since I was a child. The business was founded in 1898.

What I learned for this job during my studies:

My Bachelor’s course in Construction Design and Economics and my Master’s in Architecture and Project Management both provided me with good insight into all of the trades in the construction and architecture sector.

Job prospects in my field:

The job prospects are very good for anyone wishing to work in both design and production in the interior design and carpentry or joinery sectors. However you need well-founded training in furniture-making. The quality of carpentry and joinery work is increasing and therefore more and more planners and designers are being employed by the relevant businesses.

I am:

  • accurate
  • open to new things
  • ‘addicted’ to new materials

About my job:

There are lots of plans and goals and so I haven’t limited myself to any one in particular. Architecture and carpentry or joinery are so diverse that it is difficult to choose just one direction. I am particularly passionate about ensuring a positive future for our family business.
