Production Technology and Organization

After Graduation

Career paths

Our graduates work in industrial companies in the following areas:

  • Production planning and control
  • Work scheduling
  • Materials management and logistics
  • Project management
  • Production technology and automation
  • Factory planning
  • Quality, environmental and safety management
  • Supply chain management
  • Construction and jig manufacturing

Our graduates also pursue careers in research and development as well as product and process development. They analyse, plan, coordinate and optimise the manufacturing steps and technologies required to create a wide range of products.

The certificates students obtain during the degree programme (Quality Management Technician in cooperation with Quality Austria and Safety Representative in cooperation with AUVA) are recognised in the industry.

Starting salaries for production engineers are around 33,000 euros per annum depending on the sector. Previous work experience gained during the Production Technology and Organisation programme gives our graduates an advantage over other applicants. A willingness to go abroad also has a positive effect on salary negotiations.

Most graduates combine their on-going career advancement in their existing training company with further in-depth study through the Master’s programme in Engineering and Production Management at FH JOANNEUM, also a co-op programme.
