SMART City Kapfenberg

Renewable energy, soft mobility and green oases in Kapfenberg – this is the focus of the SMART City Kapfenberg project team. The focus is on the model areas “Hochschwabsiedlung” and “Bandstruktur Wiener Straße” as well as the topics of photovoltaic potential and digitalization.

KOFIX

The switch from fossil fuels to sustainable alternatives has arrived in the private sector. Commercial vehicles are a different story. We are currently addressing the challenges of the modernization of municipal road vehicles in our KOFIX project.

Diagnosis, classification and recycling of photovoltaic systems

Currently, more PV systems than ever are being installed in order to achieve the ambitious target of the Renewable Energy Expansion Act of an additional 11 TWh of electricity from PV by 2030. At the same time, some PV systems in operation are already being dismantled or replaced by more powerful modules, even though some of them have not yet reached the end of their technical life cycle. The PV DiKlaWi project team has therefore set itself the goal of preventing this premature retirement of functioning …
