Semester abroad
The Institute of Automotive Engineering sets great store by the international nature of its activities. Experience abroad is very important for personal development, both on an academic and also a professional level. It brings great benefits both for the students and for the Institute. Our students can complete a semester abroad in the third semester at one of our partner universities. They’ll be supervised by our international coordinators during their stay abroad.
Our students can also spend an internship in a foreign research institution or with a partner firm abroad. The application procedure includes a compulsory workshop on intercultural communication to prepare students for the intercultural world of work.
How does it work?
Students first select the classes they wish to attend at the partner university. This determines whether the semester content is covered at the host university or students will need to catch up on their return. The head of degree programme makes the necessary decisions. We assist our students with their preparations and support them during their time abroad.
