Internship
In the sixth semester of the Information Design degree programme our students complete an internship in a national or an international company in the media and design sector. Quite often such internships turn into jobs. The internship is accompanied by a seminar, which accounts for three ECTS. The internship consists of a minimum of 450 hours and the minimum duration is twelve weeks. Completion and positive evaluation of the internship are a part of the degree requirements. It is not possible to repeat the internship.
Please note the following points:
- Fully completed fifth semester: Due to the possible distances involved between the place of study and the location of internships, sitting examinations in the sixth semester is only possible to a limited extent. The examinations scheduled in the fifth semester must therefore be taken by the end of the semester.
- Approved internship position: All internships must be approved by the head of degree programme before internships commence.
- Reports: A written interim report must be sent by email to the degree programme every month. A final report must be submitted after completion of the internship.
- Internship confirmation: Written confirmation of the completed internship must be provided by the company or institution.
- Internship presentation: A presentation is held describing the content and experiences gained on internship. Students from subsequent year groups attend this event together with staff from the degree programme.
Internship: 5th semester
Duration & Workload: 15 weeks of 30 hours each
