The admissions procedure consists of:
During the personal interview, which includes a potential assessment, you will be asked questions about your personality, media literacy, creativity and professional expertise (journalism, PR), your interest in the profession and your degree programme, your information-seeking and communication habits, media knowledge, general knowledge and your awareness of current affairs. Your demeanour and public speaking skills, as well as your ability to take criticism and reflect on your performance, will also be taken into account in the assessment.
The interview will be conducted by the head of degree programme and a lecturer from the Institute. It will last around 25 minutes.
The purpose of the interview is to find out whether the degree programme is right for you and whether you meet the necessary entry requirements.
You will receive full details of how the interview will be conducted in good time before the appointment.
The admissions interview is your chance to introduce yourself. Take advantage of this opportunity and show why you should be awarded a place on the course. The lecturers from the Institute want to know who you are and whether the course would suit you. It’s in your hands to convince them with your CV, your interest in the course content and your personality. Of course you will be nervous. But the interview is not a test! Be honest and don’t fake it.
