Internship

An internship is an integral part of our degree programme and aims to enable our students to develop and enhance their personal and professional skills and acts as a kind of “test phase”, preparing them for everyday working life. Internships are completed in a company or an organisation of the student’s choosing and may be completed either in Austria or abroad. The internship takes place in the fifth semester and is twelve weeks in duration. Internships are particularly popular in accounting and controlling, marketing, sales and human resources management.

While on internship our students build up a network, which often proves very helpful at a later stage when they are looking to secure their first job post-graduation. Working as part of a team, students are actively involved in business processes and therefore have the opportunity to directly apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in lectures. This enables them to further develop skills such as independence and responsibility.

Internships abroad also offer opportunities to significantly improve and perfect language skills.
