The entire third semester of the Master’s programme is devoted to the internship. Our students spends 15 weeks of 30 hours each in a company of their choice, preferably between October and January. During this time they put into practical use their acquired specialist knowledge of the aviation industry, deepen their skills and familiarise themselves with working in a company. Students are continually guided by a supervisor during their internship.
Our students complete internships in companies in all sectors of the aerospace industry. Specialist tasks are very often carried out in larger companies, while small and medium-sized companies often offer the opportunity to work in a range of different departments. Typical tasks during the internship include cooperation in the development of new aircraft, support in an aviation authority, activities in the fleet management of an airline or working in quality control in a supply company.
Our students have completed internships in a wide range of companies, e.g.:
- Air Ambulance Technology
- Airbus Group
- Austrian Airlines
- Austro Control
- Axis Flight Training Systems
- German Aerospace Center (DLR)
- Diamond Aircraft
- Grob Aircraft
- Lufthansa Technik
- Pankl Aerospace Systems
- Premium Aerotec
- Solar Impulse
- Center of Applied Aeronautical Research (ZAL)
