The Aviation master degree programme at FH JOANNEUM is designed as a followon programme to the Aviation bachelor programme at FH JOANNEUM but is also suitable for graduates with a bachelor degree in other technical disciplines.
The master degree programme offers specialisations in Aeronautical Engineering and Aviation Management and is the only course of its kind in Austria.
What you can expect
The Aviation master degree programme offers graduates of relevant bachelor or equivalent programmes the opportunity to specialise in one of two areas:
O Aeronautical Engineering links indepth technical aspects of aviation with business management and organisational skills. This specialisation ensures you are well prepared prepared to take on managerial functions in the field of aviation.
O Aviation Management includes all elements of the aviation supply chain from manufacturing and production to logistics and controlling through to sales management. Graduates of this specialisation acquire comprehensive expertise that previously required years of work experience in the industry.
Great importance is attached to relevant interdisciplinary subjects such as social skills and foreign languages. In the third semester you will complete a work placement, while the fourth semester will be dedicated to the master thesis.
Graduates are awarded the degree “Master of Science in Engineering” (MSc).
The programme’s international focus is reflected in the close cooperation with our partner universities as well as in the large number of international lecturers who participate in the various workshops and symposia. All lectures are held in English.
