Ihr Lehrauftrag:
Die Lehrveranstaltung wird im 4. Semester als Projektarbeit im Studiengang „Informationsdesign“ angeboten. Als Teil eines Teaching-Teams begleiten Sie Studierende bei der Entwicklung und Umsetzung praxisnaher Kund:innenprojekte. Der Fokus liegt auf professionellen Arbeitsweisen in Agenturen, Creative Studios und Produktionsumfeldern sowie auf der Zusammenarbeit mit Kund:innen und interdisziplinären Teams. Die Lehrveranstaltung umfasst folgende inhaltliche Schwerpunkte:
- Entwicklung und Ausarbeitung kreativer Konzepte und Gestaltungsideen
- Professioneller Umgang mit Briefings und Anforderungen von Kund:innen
- Planung und Umsetzung von Design- und Medienprojekten im Team
- Präsentation und Vermittlung kreativer Konzepte gegenüber Kund:innen und Stakeholder:innen
- Interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit zwischen gestalterischen, konzeptionellen und technischen Bereichen
- Professioneller Umgang mit Feedback, Änderungswünschen und realen Auftragssituationen
- Arbeitsweisen, Prozesse und Rollen in Agenturen, Designstudios und Creative Productions
Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss der Lehrveranstaltung sind die Studierenden in der Lage, kreative Konzepte auf Basis konkreter Briefings zu entwickeln und Design- und Medienprojekte professionell im Team umzusetzen. Sie können ihre Konzepte gegenüber Kund:innen und Stakeholder:innen präsentieren, mit unterschiedlichen gestalterischen und technischen Disziplinen zusammenarbeiten sowie professionell mit Feedback und Änderungswünschen umgehen. Darüber hinaus verfügen sie über ein praxisnahes Verständnis von Arbeitsweisen, Prozessen und Rollen in Agenturen, Designstudios und Creative Productions.
Ihr Profil:
Für die Lehrveranstaltung suchen wir Bewerber:innen mit einschlägiger Praxiserfahrung in einem der folgenden zwei Bereiche:
Profil 1: Grafik-, Design- und Kommunikationsagentur
- Mindestens 10 Jahre einschlägige Berufserfahrung in leitender oder verantwortlicher Position im Agentur- oder Studioumfeld
- Fundierte Expertise in Corporate Design und visueller Identität, Editorial und Print, Kampagnen- und Werbegestaltung, Art Direction sowie medienübergreifender visueller Kommunikation
- Langjährige Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Steuerung anspruchsvoller Kund:innenprojekte – von Briefing, Strategie und Konzeption über Präsentation und Kund:innenführung bis zur Umsetzung
- Erfahrung in der Leitung kreativer Teams, im Management kreativer Prozesse und in der Koordination komplexer, interdisziplinärer Projekte
- Verbindung von gestalterischer Kompetenz mit strategischem Denken sowie Projekt- und Agenturmanagement
- Lehrerfahrung im Hochschulbereich sowie Erfahrung in der eigenständigen Konzeption und Durchführung von Lehrveranstaltungen von Vorteil
- Verhandlungssichere Englischkenntnisse
Angesprochen sind insbesondere erfahrene Art Directors, Creative Directors, Design Leads, Agenturleiter:innen und Senior Designer:innen
Profil 2: Multimedia & Creative Production
- Einschlägige aktuelle Berufserfahrung in zumindest einem der Bereiche Film und Video, Motion Design und Animation, 3D, VR/XR, interaktive Medien, Social Media oder digitale Content-Produktion
- Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und Umsetzung medienübergreifender Ideen, zeitgemäßem Storytelling und visueller Konzeption
- Verständnis aktueller Social-Media-Formate, Plattformlogiken und Produktionsweisen, insbesondere im Bereich Short-Form Video, Social Storytelling und plattformgerechter visueller Inhalte
- Erfahrung an der Schnittstelle von Creative Production, digitaler Kommunikation und Social Media sowie im Einsatz aktueller Tools und Technologien
- Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit unterschiedlicher kreativer und technischer Disziplinen innerhalb professioneller Produktionsprozesse
- Verhandlungssichere Englischkenntnisse
Angesprochen sind sowohl Early-Career Professionals mit fundierter Projekt- und Studioerfahrung und aktuellem Digital-/Social-Media-Know-how als auch erfahrene Creative Directors, Motion Designer:innen, Filmemacher:innen, Produzent:innen, Digital Creatives, Content Creator:innen und selbstständig tätige Kreative.
Darüber hinaus sind für beide Profile folgende Qualifikationen wünschenswert:
- Abgeschlossenes einschlägiges Hochschulstudium bzw. eine einschlägige Akademie-Ausbildung
- Lehrerfahrung an einer Hochschule oder einer vergleichbaren Bildungseinrichtung
- Didaktisches Geschick, Begeisterungsfähigkeit sowie Freude an der Zusammenarbeit mit Studierenden

Your Teaching Assignment:
The course is offered in the 4th semester as Project Work within the Bachelor’s Degree Programme “Information Design”. As part of a teaching team, you will guide students in the development and implementation of practice-oriented client projects. The focus is on professional workflows in agencies, creative studios and production environments, as well as collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary teams. The course covers the following key areas:
- Development and elaboration of creative concepts and design ideas
- Professional handling of client briefs and requirements
- Planning and implementation of design and media projects within a team
- Presentation and communication of creative concepts to clients and stakeholders
- Interdisciplinary collaboration across design, conceptual and technical fields
- Professional handling of feedback, change requests and real-world client situations
- Workflows, processes and roles in agencies, design studios and creative production environments
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to develop creative concepts based on specific briefs and professionally implement design and media projects as part of a team. They will be able to present their concepts to clients and stakeholders, collaborate across different design and technical disciplines, and respond professionally to feedback and change requests. In addition, they will have gained a practice-oriented understanding of workflows, processes and roles in agencies, design studios and creative production environments.
Your Profile:
For this course, we are looking for applicants with relevant professional experience in one of the following two areas:
Profile 1: Graphic Design, Design and Communications Agency
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in a managerial or responsible position within an agency or studio environment
- In-depth expertise in corporate design and visual identity, editorial and print design, campaign and advertising design, art direction, and cross-media visual communication
- Extensive experience in developing and managing complex client projects – from briefing, strategy and concept development to presentation, client management and implementation
- Experience in leading creative teams, managing creative processes, and coordinating complex interdisciplinary projects
- Ability to combine design expertise with strategic thinking as well as project and agency management skills
- Previous teaching experience in higher education and experience in independently designing and delivering courses are an advantage
- Proficiency in English at a professional level
This profile is particularly suited to experienced Art Directors, Creative Directors, Design Leads, Agency Managers and Senior Designers.
Profile 2: Multimedia & Creative Production
- Relevant and current professional experience in at least one of the following areas: film and video, motion design and animation, 3D, VR/XR, interactive media, social media, or digital content production
- Experience in developing and implementing cross-media ideas, contemporary storytelling and visual concepts
- Understanding of current social media formats, platform dynamics and production practices, particularly in the areas of short-form video, social storytelling and platform-specific visual content
- Experience at the intersection of creative production, digital communication and social media, as well as in the use of current tools and technologies
- Experience in collaborating across different creative and technical disciplines within professional production processes
- Proficiency in English at a professional level
This profile is open to both early-career professionals with solid project and studio experience and up-to-date digital/social media expertise, as well as experienced Creative Directors, Motion Designers, Filmmakers, Producers, Digital Creatives, Content Creators and self-employed creative professionals.
In addition, the following qualifications are desirable for both profiles:
- A relevant university degree or equivalent qualification from a higher education institution
- Teaching experience at a university or comparable educational institution
- Strong didactic skills, enthusiasm, and a student-oriented approach
