Edith Podhovnik

Seit 2003 ist Edith Podhovnik an der FH JOANNEUM in der Lehre tätig. Sie promovierte an der University of Wales, Swansea (United Kingdom), spezialisiert auf Dialektologie und Soziolinguistik, und hat zwei Magisterabschlüsse in Englisch und Russisch von der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz.

Sie macht Vortragstätigkeiten zu Themen im Bereich der Sozioliguistik, Kommunikation, Stereotypen in den Medien und Cats in the Public Sphere in verschiedenen Ländern, darunter Großbritannien, die Vereinigten Staaten und Russland, und schreibt einen Research Blog über Cats in the Public Sphere.

Ihre Forschungsinteressen umfassen, sind aber nicht beschränkt auf, regionale und soziale Sprachvariationen, Phonologie und Cats in the Public Sphere, Kommunikation undLanguage in International Business.
