CAPAGE: Kick Off Meeting in Sri Lanka

The Kick-Off event of the CAPAGE project ‘Promoting academic and professional excellence in healthcare to meet the challenges of aging in Sri Lanka’ coordinated by the Institute of Physiotherapy FHJ and co-funded by ERASMUS+ took place in Kandy, Sri Lanka from 19th to 23rd February 2024. The meeting was hosted by the University of Peradeniya and the inauguration ceremony was held in full splendor, graced by the Universities Vice Chancellors, guests and project members. The meeting provided the opportunity for the nearly 30 participants from Austria, Finland, Spain, Porto and Sri Lanka to get together and to establish a good working environment for the following 3 years of the project. Management and scientific sessions, as well as various social events enabled extensive interaction, professional and cultural exchange. The project will progress through several milestones to achieve its main objectives of enhancing active and healthy aging for the elderly in Sri Lanka.
