In the third semester our students undertake a scientific eHealth project, ideally in cooperation with a health care institution, to give them a deeper insight into the workings of the IT and health care sector. The project may also form the basis for a future career or be taken as the subject for the Master’s thesis.

Current student projects

Bioimage Analysis Plugin Development

As a part of a cooperation project between the University of Applied Sciences - FH Joanneum and the Graz-based bioimage analysis software provider KML Vision, students of the eHealth study program get the opportunity to gain practical experience in a real-world bioinformatics plugin development project.

Project

MediScan-App

The MediScan-App proves to deliver convenient AI-generated summaries of medical-leaflets. Patients can manage their medication digitally and independently of location by setting up a personal medical cabinet.

STEADYTEMP - Dashboard

The developed web dashboard serves medical staff to display STEADYTEMP patient data., including temperature curves and additional inputs such as symptoms and medication.

The aim of the project was the development of a subscription management interface for the IKOSA platform of KML Vision.

Based on the bachelor project additional features are planned to be integrated into the existing M-KIS system at the Smart Care Laboratory at FH JOANNEUM.

In the project, the LETHE RuleEditor was implemented in which clinicians can create and integrate rules, independent of developers.
