Student projects

In the third semester our students undertake a scientific eHealth project, ideally in cooperation with a health care institution, to give them a deeper insight into the workings of the IT and health care sector. The project may also form the basis for a future career or be taken as the subject for the Master’s thesis.

We cooperate with health care institutions and IT companies, e.g.:

  • Styrian Hospital Corporation (KAGes)
  • AIT
  • AUVA
  • Graz Geriatric Hospital (GGZ)
  • Joanneum Research
  • Klagenfurt Hospital (KABEG)
  • Barmherzige Brüder hospitals
  • Elisabethinen Hospital, Graz
  • Medical University of Graz
  • Meierhofer AG Germany
  • Sanlas Holding
  • Siemens Healthcare

Examples of student projects

  • Development of a fall detection app for a smartwatch
  • App for training first aid cardiac massage
  • Implementation of a platform for problem-oriented learning in nursing (blended learning / eLearning tools)
  • Physiotherapy software
