German Language Competence Course
AdmissionsTo participate in the certificate programme, applicants must:
- meet the admission requirements for the degree programme they wish to apply for.
- demonstrate German language skills at level B1 by means of internationally recognised language certificates (e.g. ÖSD, Goethe Certificate, telc, TestDaF) by no later than the application deadline.
Participants complete the course with a certificate from FH JOANNEUM and the ÖSD exam “Zertifikat Deutsch B2” at the internal ÖSD examination centre, thus fulfilling the language admission requirements for most German-language degree programmes at FH JOANNEUM. The maximum number of participants is 20.
Please note that we only accept applicants for the certificate programme who wish to apply for a degree programme at FH JOANNEUM that requires a B2 certificate. Applicants for the certificate programme who require German at level C1 cannot be considered.
For German- and English-language degree programmes, English language skills at least at level B2 according to the European Framework of Reference are also required.
